Statment

The work I make is meant to recreate the different movements in animals that I’ve been interested in my entire life. One of my primary focuses is on how things bend, break and live. These pieces show the energy and movement of different animals. I set out to recreate the animal in what would be conceived to be an ‘uncommon’ way. I would observe animals in nature and think of how I can capture their movement in a sculpture. Through different forms of movement and mixed media, the animals that I create generate behavior that reflects personality, amusement and charisma.
